A free tool that does the long-term math on big purchases, with your numbers, and tells you how sure it is.
Why this exists
When a car or a water heater decision comes up, most of the numbers come from people selling one, from averages built for someone else, or from forum arguments over whose assumptions are right. This site runs the numbers for your situation instead.
What it does differently
- It shows 20 ways the future could go, not one average.
- It tells you what would flip the answer, like how many miles you’d need to drive.
- Every number links to where it came from, with a date.
What it doesn’t do
No sign-up, no ads, no selling your details, and no dealer or installer referrals. You never have to give an email to see an answer.
How it stays current
Fuel and energy prices, loan rates, weather, and the list of cars refresh on their own from public sources. If a source stops answering, the site keeps showing the last values it had, with their date, so nothing old passes as new. The math page lists every source and assumption.
Who runs it
An independent project. No carmaker, dealer, utility, or installer pays for it or for what it shows. Found a number that looks wrong? Tell us.
