Privacy
What this site collects, why, and what it never does with it.

What we collect
- Your answers. The state, miles, prices, and other answers you give are sent to our server to run the numbers, and kept in the page address so a link can reopen them. We don’t save them to any account or database.
- Usage statistics. Google Analytics counts visits so we can see which pages help. It sets cookies and receives your IP address and device details. See Google’s privacy policy.
- Messages you send. The contact form passes your name, email, and message through Formspree so we can reply. See Formspree’s privacy policy.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs, such as IP addresses, for a short time for security and reliability.
- Your approximate state. The host tells us which US state a visit comes from, so we can fill in the first question. We don’t store it.
What we don’t do
No accounts, no ads, no selling or sharing your details, and no passing your answers to dealers, installers, or anyone else.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser, or use Google’s opt-out add-on. The tools work the same either way. To ask about a message you sent, use the contact page.
Children
This site isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If what we collect changes, this page and its date change with it.
